The year is 3056, hundreds of years since virtual world games have been made and perfected to the point that it's near impossible to tell the difference between reality and a fake. Entering the virtual world is as simple as entering a building- best known as a Vircoid- where someone is placed into a cryogenic slumber their bodies are fed the nutriants they need by machine, their muscle tone also kept stable. There are no moving sidewalks, floating buildings, flying cars, or any of that jazz. Instead, society has decided to preserve the ancient ways, having normal- though fuel efficient- vehicles, buildings made of fire proof materials and the like. There is still a leader of each country, still starving children, still wars. Other than the gaming world, nothing has changed.
Then, the Chaos hit. Chaos, the substance that makes up anti-matter and black holes. It is a substance that had been discovered back in 2095, just as the existence of Etros- the Goddess of Chaos- had been. At the same time, Bhunevelze(Bun-eh-vel-zah)'s existance had also been discovered. He, Bhunevelze, is said to be the true God, where as Etros is his opposite, the true Satan so to speak. Neither are so black and white- as in, pure good or evil- as our God and Satan are said to be, but that's basically how they stand. Against one another, but at one another's side. It is not said how they were discovered, nor why they existed instead of God and Satan, but despite such unstable proof, most others accepted the fact that they existed. At the same time, those more radically religious than others denied the existance of Etros and Bhunevelze, but that's another story. All you need to know is that they exist.
Seven years prior to our setting, 3056, Etros had died. How do we know this? Because the Chaos hit the world, distorting the laws of space and time as we or anyone else knew it. The barrier between virtual and reality was distorted to a degree. Just as the inhabitants of the Earth stopped aging, stopped being able to procreate, but were still very mortal. Children stayed children. Old men and women stayed as they were until finally someone murdered them or they died by way of illness. The dead could be truly heard by a select few. At the same time, monsters well known by gamers and otaku alike came to actual life, be it from a game or a classical anime. Demons became real, magic became real, powers became real. For three of these years, life was- well- chaos. People died, wars sprouted, politicians grew power hungry, insane and then committed suicide. Until finally, there were no more separate countries, no more leaders of a continent, or any of that. No, there were just people living in large groups, paying with a world wide universal currency, waiting for the Chaos to subside. But the Chaos didn't subside, and thus the people of the world adapted. Things became calm up until 3055.
That is until scientists discovered that the Chaos was breaking their world little by little for six years- speaking in terms of the discovery- and that soon Earth would be no more. And with no Earth to live on, every human out there would die. No one cared if the monsters that the Chaos had turned from fictional to real would die or not. At the same time, scientists discovered two more things: One- that the virtual world became something of a destiny maker.
Depending on what happened in the virtual world, something good or bad would happen in the real world. Thus, they hypothesized that if gamers and real life warriors like found a way to save the virtual world, the real one would be saved too. So, thousands of people entered the virtual world, a place best described as feudal, nothing more nor less. These people searched for the answer to saving reality, fighting against the demons and monsters that plaged not only VIRTUAL REALITY, but reality as well all thanks to the Chaos and the death of Etros.
At the same time, the enemies of humanity also entered the virtual world. These people believe heavily in Bhunevelze and his power, as well as his love for humanity. They believed that while Bhunbevelze would ALLOW their reality to be destroyed, he would save their souls, create a NEW Earth, and let everyone be reborn with a clean slate. No Chaos to be found.
Unfortunately for both groups, neither knew that upon entering the virtual world, they would be trapped, unable to check the status of reality until the end really did come.
Our story takes place in the virtual world, characters either aiming to simply plan on stopping the destruction or to make sure it succeeds. This is a mixture between lots of things. The gods and Chaos come from Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns, so I don't expect you to fully understand things. However, the rest of the virtual world are InuYasha based and SAO based. There are health bars and inventories, as well as certain potions that you can make up as you go or can legitimately exist. Because the Chaos has caused demons to exist, you can be one of those. OR you can be a special human with powers.

Today is a beautiful day. The birds are singing, virtual bunnies are gathering food for their young, somewhere, a fox skitters across a path just before a rapidly moving carriage can run him over. In a near by village, in the center shops and stands are set up, varying in size and sold goods, while people of all kinds mill around and do what they need to. A grocer sells two heads of lettuce to a mother of three, a couple stroll through on their way to an afternoon date, a demon grumbles about stupid humans and all their nonsense but none the less leaves town to continue on his journey. However, despite the seemingly perfect day, in a large forest know for its redwood trees, tall and mighty, a pair of people stand against a band of, well, bandits aiming to steal their money. "Woops, you missed again! Oh! So close! You know, maybe you should consider taking up dancing lessons?" Er....Maybe I should rephrase that. The bandits attempt to fight, all aiming for a single, infuriating man, while the man is easily weaving this way and that around swords, daggers, and a badly thrown water ball or lashed whip here and there. The girl, the man's traveling companion, stands defiantly in front of a tree, a rapier held at the ready but not being used.
"Oh come on! Would you stop messing with them?! I'm hungry!" The girl, a half fox demoness with white hair and violet eyes, demands. Her white, black tipped, ears lay flat on her head, showing her displeasure.
"Oh? Are you insisting that you can do better?" The playful man teases without a care. The quip causes the girl to growl, all white tail lashing. She hates it when he teases her, which is near to all the time, "Shut up! You know that's not what I meant! You've been going at it, playing with these guys for the last twenty minutes! AND you said you wanted to get into town by the time lunch rolled by. But now you're just playing and it's annoying!.....Actually, you know what? I COULD kick their asses way faster than you!"
"What?!" The lead bandit snarls as he stops his forward momentum in exchange for spinning to glare, "Say that again you brat!!" He springs, rushing for the girl as she widens her stance and readies to defend herself. Honestly, she hadn't been expecting that to actually work in egging the man on. However, before she can even remove the shock from her face and attack back, a large black clad frame places itself in front of her. Before the bandit can demand how the man go there so fast, when he had been busy with the others, a hand latches onto his throat, stopping him in his tracks.
"Don't you know that it's not nice to attack the defenseless? Especially little girls," the man makes a tsking sound, as though lightly scolding the head bandit. A simple clench of the man's large hand crushes the bandit's throat, breaking his neck effectively with an audible 'snap'. The fox girl flinches, looking away as the body falls to the ground, a useless heap of bones. The man continues walking as though he had not just finished killing a group of six bandits in mere seconds after playing with them for a total of fifteen minutes. However, as he doesn't hear another set of footsteps following his, he stops and peeks over his shoulder. "Come along, Aislin, a little girl like you could get killed in a forest like this," it is both a demand and an insult.
The fox girl, Aislin clenches her jaw and glares harshly at the man. Why is she traveling with him again? Oh, that's right, because she's yet to meet anyone stronger, and she needs help saving the god damn world. "You're a real ass, you know that Onsei?! You didn't have to kill them!" She trots until she's stomping at the tall man's side, violet eyes eyeing his vermilion ones angrily.
"But I did," Onsei denies, staring straight ahead with a mocking smile on his lips.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back in town, a man sighs as he ends up on the main street of the shopping portion of the village for the tenth time that day. That's right, the tenth. His deep green eyes narrow childishly, a just as childish pout putting itself onto his lips while a hand scratches the back of his head. "What the hell am I doing wrong?" He demands of himself. He's taken every single street that branches off of this one, AND this one itself, in an attempt to leave the village. And yet every single time he's ended up turning back onto this very street! He sighs as he looks around, before turning and heading what he thinks is east- it's actually southwest- and begins to walk. "Maybe this way is how I get out of here?" He shrugs his broad shoulders, making the large sword strapped to his back shuffle with the movement. "Come on, Sora," he tells himself, "You've got to get a move on or else you'll never catch that mass murderer!" And then he won't have any money for food! Ah the horror!
Meanwhile, a young blonde demon strolls absent mindedly through the forest. She has a bag of goodies she's collected from edible fruits and roots to ingredients for all kinds of 'magic'. Well... Potions s more like it. The blonde, Hana, has gathered these things in hopes to sell potions and what not. Her demon aura lr whah ever they detect in this video game world remains suppressed at a minimum. However, her keen senses pick up on a distant sound of struggles. "Hmm?" She looks steadily in the direction of the struggling sounds before calling to her own companion. "Oi! Malek! Let's go this way."
Sharp, black-red horns swivel as dark eyes look at the stupid human as he suspects her to be. Why are they suddenly walking? "Geez! Play one prank, and suddenly I'm trapped in a contract with this stupid witch," he mutters before shuffling after her. He had tried to seduce her to rob her, but she ended up playing him and tricking him into helping her search for some plants for no damn pay. That's alrighf. He's biding his time. Once he's free of their deal, he'll crush her and take her money then.
Either way, they walk into a very scandalous scene. Bandits are dead, and the two perpetrators stand there red handed. Hana whistles. "Way to pick on the weak," she calls to Onsei. After all, he appears unharmed, and they're beaten fairly bloody. "Who are yall?" She motions to herself and then Malek. "Name's Hana. This is Malek. I call him Mally."
"No! Malek!" The oni half breed insists with an irritated growl.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the middle of town stands a young human woman. She stares at the stand before it, it being full of weapons. "Hmm... No. No." She skims through the display of swords and spears, rejecting them all. What does pique her interest is a set of bow and arrows. The bow's design weaves gracefully into the arch, shimmering in a dark brown frinish that has sapphire gems embedded into the weave. "Oh! I want this!" She looks to the attendant. "I'd like the set here." She pulls out her money SHES saved up, and puts the exact amount the display claims the set costs on the table. "What do you think you're doing?" The attendant snaps. "This isn't enough!" The girl tilts her head, shiny black strands of hair falling to the side. "It's exactly the amount you advertised it for. dont try to stiff me." She glared at the attendant. "Sorry, but I'm not playing that game. There's you money." She snatched the set away, and as she straps on the bag Of arrows, the attendant makes his way around the stand to confront who he considers a thief for not letting him rip her off.

Onsei had long since sensed Malek, and indeed it is an aura that each person with powers releases consciously or unconsciously. However, as it's a female voice that contacts him before he and Aislin can actually succeed at leaving the forest without being interrupted. He turns, vibrant eyes looking over the human and demon duo before locking onto the girl of the two. "Does it frighten you, child?" He questions with that calm, mocking smile on his lips. "Or perhaps you'd like to try your hand at attacking us as well?" He doesn't even bother to deny killing the bandits in what could be considered cold blood- they definitely hadn't done any lasting damage that called for murder- that's for sure. He eyes Aislin as she does what she does, amused with the result greatly, and turns to mocking her now, "Did you really think you could interrupt me in that fashion? Silly vixen".
Aislin is actually taken by shock as the unfamiliar voice stops her scowling. Her senses aren't as sharp as Onsei's, and as such she didn't sense Hana or Malek coming along behind them. The result is her whirling around with a hand on the hilt of her rapier, ready to fight if need be. Not that Onsei would actually let her, probably. However, as the girl, Hana introduces herself, she relaxes enough to release her rapier's hilt. Just looking at the girl, and catching her scent from where she is, tells the half fox that the girl is a demon. Onsei's rude introduction annoys her, so she attempts to stop his idiocy with a punch to his ribs. "Hey, be ni- OW! Damn it, what are your ribs made of?! Metal?! Her knuckles throb as she shakes her hand to ease the pain. She growls at the full blooded demon before sighing, "Don't mind him. He's a complete asshole. I'm Asilin, this here is Onsei. Was there something you needed?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
It seems that it's the girl's lucky day, as Sora just so happens to be headed that way in hopes of finding his way to his destination- which is miles away from the village by now, by the way. His handsome face is childishly settled into a scowl, an interesting mixture of facial features for a grown man such as he. "I'm not even gonna be able to make any money at this rate," he whines, when suddenly his stomach decides to growl rather loudly. It causes him to stop and stare at where he knows his stomach to be. "I ate like an hour ago! I know it was only seven bowls of chili, but still!" And yet, his stomach demands more food. Damn it! Sometimes he really hates how much he eats. With a sigh, he continues on, now looking for a place to eat. The restaurants are in a separate area from the shops, however, so he's gonna have to find that district. It pisses him off. As he was thinking about where he could find food, he just so happens to barrel into the man that is targeting a girl with a bag full of arrows on her back. He stumbles, blinking in surprise upon seeing what he's done to the man. "Oh! Sorry about that, mister! You okay?"

Hana raised a single brow at Onsei. "Why would I be afraid? I see nothing that should send me running." She looks to the girl by Onsei's side as she returns her greeting much more politely. "No, not really. I could hear what I assume was these guys." She nudged one of be bandits with her foot. "I was curious as to who was starting something in the middle of the woods, so I came to see for myself." She looks between the two newly-met acquaintances. She ayes Onsei before saying, "You're a really weird one." sure the girl has fox demon in her blood, but to call anyone a vixen just seems weird to her. She doesn't say this allowed, though. No, she wants to leave her reason for calling him weird to herself. "I could ask you, though, if you are looking for anything out here. I've been gathering stuff to sell for a little profit. Perhaps you need something? Something like plants to help with your hand, Miss Aislin."
Malek really couldn't care less. Warm eyes look to the side, observing the trees and plants while Hana talked. Damn. He wants to fulfill his contract with her as soon as possible! As long as she sits here, all he can do is the same because he has yet to finish the job which included sticking close to Hana for added protection. He does look over with a scowl as she starts to attempt negotiation for any possible money she can get. "Don't buy anything from her. She's a scam."
"Oi!" Hana looks to the oni, a cold stare flashing over her previously friendly face. "You're not helping me by standing there mouthing off about me. Behave."
"Or what?" malek' answer comes as a sudden, burning pain. His arm burns with flames that come alive along the lines of this tribal tattoo he's gained since Hana tricked him. It does hurt, too. I mean, unless you're a dragon, Ace, or Natsu, I don't see flames as being pleasant if they touch anyone. It's now that Hana slips some of the demonic aura as she concentrates a bit more on maintaining Malek's punishment. After a moment of cringing, Malek looks to Hana, looking into her currently-glowing golden eyes to say, "Ok! Ok! Just stop!" And like that, the flames on the arm subside, leaving only the red tattoo mentioned earlier.
That split second of dropping her guard is just that: a split second. Hana immediately suppresses herself once more, and she looks back to the two. "I am no scam. I Am looking to make money, but I wouldn't cheat people like that."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aelita looks to the man that bumps into the attendant so absent mindedly. The first comment she thinks to herself is, "What the hell?" Still, she's grateful. His intervention shook the stupid conman. "This guy is cheating me out of extra money. This bow and these arrows aren't even worth the amount you're asking. I just personally like them. Don't suddenlt up charge for no damn reason, you lunatic." The man snarls at the woman. "Wench! I'll have you killed before everyone here for stealing me out of my merchandise!" He looks to the man that bumbled his way in between him and the thief. "Move boy. I gotta teach this girl a lesson about what happens when she leaves her cleaning chores to try an adventure!"
Aislin holds her hand close to her chest, hitting the full blooded demon's ribs seriously hurt! What the hell is he made of?! Still, upon seeing the punishment Malek seems to earn himself, as well as the offer for something to help her out, she opens her mouth to accept. Surely the woman is telling the truth when she says she doesn't want to rip her off....Right? However, a hand is placed over her mouth, skin smooth yet scarred here and there from numerous battles. Her answer is instantly muffled.
"Sorry," Onsei denies. Seeing Malek's punishment for back talking to the woman whom seems to be something akin to his mistress gives the vermilion eyed demon something of a sick pleasure. Pain has always been amusing to him. The sound of one's cries, the impact of the tool used to inflict pain when it reaches its target, the recoil of another attack. In this case, the sound of flickering flames and Malek's complaining do the trick. Yes, a sick pleasure indeed. But even if this woman, Hana, has unknowingly pleased him to some degree, there's no reason to return the favor. "We don't have any money; we live off the land, doing odd jobs here and there. We could not pay you even if you could help her hand heal. But then again, you cannot heal wounds gained from idiocy". A complete and utter lie given through smiling lips and a very solid poker face. Well, save the last part. "We aren't looking for anything in particular though, merely trying to get to our destination is all," this is the truth.
His insult stops Aislin's struggling, trading it for ripping free of his hand, stumbling a bit away from his reach. "He's lying," she answers honestly, "We do have money...But my hand will be okay," even if it will take an hour or two to heal. "Besides, the town just outside this forest is where we'll be resting for the night". She pauses before her eyes lock onto Malek, worry on her lips, "Malek, was it? Are you okay? I mean, she just burned you for no reason at all". Why does he stay with her? Can't he just leave if she's just going to openly hurt him? Why doesn't he fight back? He looks plenty strong. God, it's like a slightly different situation she has with Onsei. How weird.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sora blinks as the girl explains the situation to him, forest green eyes trying to completely understand each side of the story. Not that he really listens to the merchant. However, he still comes to a conclusion as said merchant demands he move. "Man, you're a real jerk, aren't you?" He glares harshly at the merchant, staring down at him with his height that isn't as impressive as it could be- the guy's only 5'8" after all- but it's still imposing enough he supposes. Having broad shoulders helps. That said, he stands in place, making sure the stranger girl is behind him, "Who tries to rip of a pretty girl like that to make a bit of money? Man, you must be really desperate". Now, he looks over one of his broad shoulders, eyeing the black haired girl, "You must really want those bows if you're gonna not stand for being picked on, huh?" Such a simple minded man, isn't he? But still, being the honest sort of buffoon, he can't just let this go unresolved.

Hana watches the duo as they interect with herself and Malek. She raises a brow as Onsei denies any means of Hana helping the girl. What ever. She seems like a closet masochist to the young elemental demon's eyes. "Alrighty. Cant say I didn't offer to help," she addressss the two as Onsei, and eventually Ainslin, deny her offer. "That's the town im about to head into myself, actually." She looks as the girl addresses Malek, a small smirk on her face.
Malek scowls at Onsein. How rude. He hurt her. He should at least let her fix her hand. Still, as he's addressed, he looks rather startled. He looks at her, and he nods. "I'm fine." He flinches as a small hand pats his back.
"There was a reason," Hana insists. "He told a lie about me. So long he's under contract with me, I won't allow him to spread rumors that can hurt my business." She smirks, gold eyes narrowed slightly as she looks at the girl. "Don't take pity on this idiot. He was originally try to play me out of my money and my clothes actually. I just happened to not fall for his nonsense, and I decided he can pay for trying to steal my stuff by acting as free labor against his will. Once I'm done here, he'll be free."
Malek pales as Hana reveals his failure at tricking her out of her stuff. He mutters many a curse under his breathe. He looks back to the girl. "What about you? Are ya sure you don't need some sort of remedy for that hand?" It won't kill her, but surely she should at least not have to stay in pain.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aelita is secretly relieved to see that she had more than just a bystander on his side once more. She holds the bow close to her chest as she stares down the merchant past Sora with narrow, brown eyes. "Yes. I've been saving up for it for a while." She tells the new comer this. The merchant stares up at the man a moment, surprised to see anyone stand up to him. "She's lying! She's missing a large chunk of change! Why should I let some little girl steal from me just because she's pretty?" He huffs, staring down the guy with determined eyes. However, the weasel merchant has no way to really make him stand aside or to really fight even a girl like Aelita who relies more on strategy than strength to get by. He's not strong at all. He's just a weasel.
Aislin blinks once, twice, and then three times as the conversation quickly switches between the duo, each taking their turn to speak and explain or hit the subject of what had been addressed to them. Either way, after a moment of processing it all, she finds herself locking eyes with Malek again. She smiles brightly to the currently enslaved full blooded demon, "I'll be okay. His ribs are hard but I'll survive". Her happy mood is abruptly broken by a certain large demon picking her up like a sack of potatoes and beginning to walk again without her consent. "H-Hey!! Put me down damn you! I can walk perfectly fine!" His answer is mocking as anything else that comes out of his mouth, it pisses her off further, causing her to flail and kick. Not that it gets anywhere, "I'm not some helpless child you bastard!!" Again, his response angers her, but she settles for harder flailing and a growl instead of the high pitched screaming she wants to do.
Onsei doesn't care that he comes off as an ass. Actually, there's no 'comes off as' to it. It's just how he is. A manipulative, mocking jerk with strength to back up his words. The explanation Hana gives them is amusing. It's also degrading to demon kind. Even if Malek isn't from the same world as Onsei himself is, the man is still obviously a demon. And to become enslaved- temporarily even- by another person, a demon at that, it's pretty damn depressing and insulting to their species. At the same time, Hana has his amusement. A demon enslaving a demon? It's pathetically hilarious. With that in mind, he beams to the girl, "If you two are on your way there yourselves, then why don't we go together? Wouldn't want a little girl and her pet to get hurt, now would they?" That said, he does as mentioned above, scooping up Aislin without a care and heading on his way with or without them. As she reacts as she does, he laughs, "But you hurt your hand! As a man, I must protect the weaker sex from all that could harm her!" Her second statement makes him laugh some more, "Your tantrum will call for a time out if you're not careful". He ignores her further kicking and clawing, though he's a bit displeased as the girl's claws make little holes in the back of his shirt. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sora returns the merchant's stare with blank eyes. The girl apparently owes him money, but she denies that fact. One of them is obviously lying. But which one? He looks over his shoulder again and to the girl, looking her over but finding no trace of falsehood on her person. He then looks to the man before him again and then shrugs his broad shoulders and dips his hand into his pocket. The merchant is clearly lying, but there's no need for a fight to occur. This, Sora's logical- normally childish- mind deduces swiftly. That said he questions, "How much does she owe?" Should he be given an answer, he pulls the correct amount from his pocket and hands the payment over with a smile. "There, now there's nothing to get upset about, right? You have your money," he looks over his shoulder to the girl, "And you have your weapon". Then, he turns and excuses himself with a giant grin on his face. HOWEVER, should the merchant deny giving an amount, Sora points out with an impassive face, "If you can't think of a price, kindly go back to your stand and deal with the fact that it's been publicly announced that you're a lying con-artist for ripping this girl off. If you have any issues with this, then let's settle this like men". It's your choice of course, I'm just giving you two roads lol.
Malek nods. "Fine then. If you're really ok. I would like to know, though, why YOU are sticking around someone like this guy." Malek scowls at Onsei as he picks Ainslin up like a sack of potatoes. His mood lightens up at the mention of going into town. Their contract was only long enough for today's trip into the woods and selling off their finds. He's over half way done before being set free! He walks on the outside, with Hana in the middle and Onsei with Ainslin on Hana's other side. He scowls at Hana as she says what she does to her new buddy.
Hana watched as Onsein insists they walk together. "I don't see why not. At the very least, you'd make a good extra guard dog if more bandits come." Sure, she could easily fight them herself, but she's not one to waste her powers on petty bandits or the like if she can avoid it. As he insists he must take care of women, Hana let's out a loud laugh. "So if I got hurt, you'd carry me like that too?"
"No, he said he'd only protect women... You're no- OW!" Malek cuts off and flinches as the tattooed mark on him burns like it did jury earlier.
"What's you say?" Hana says, gold eyes staring impassively at the oni. He turns away, and Hana sneers. "That's what I thought." She looks back to her new companions. "Is this your first time in this area?" If not, she says, "Do you know a good place to get food? I'm kind of starved." If not, she pouts. "Poo... And here I was hoping to find a good place to eat soon."
The man eyes Sora for a moment. would he... On a whim, the merchant says, "She owes..." He gives a price even higher than what he added on to Aelita's price. Before she could protest, the merchant scampers away with the money Sora coughs up. Her eyes widen. "W-wait!" She stutters after a moment to register that he actually paid for her to avoid causing a scene. "Mister," she says as she catches up assuming she does. "Please let me thank you." She smiles and bows her head politely. "YA know, that was even higher than what he tried to con off me. Tell me. Is there anything you need help with?" She has nothig else to do immediately, so she might as well try to return the favor, even make an ally if at all possible. She can never have too many of them, so long they're trustworthy, real allies of course.
A smirk plasters itself on Onsei's face as the girl talks big about him being another guard dog. He doesn't care if he's seen that way. Asshole, guard dog, there's no difference between the two to him. Just as he ignores Malek's scowl. He finds Hana's punishment towards Malek a second time as amusing as he found it the last time. Which was only a few minutes ago. However as she questions him about picking her up and carrying her like he is Ailsin. He none too gently puts down Aislin, allowing her to barely get her feet under her and walk on the other outside of the line they're walking in. With a lazy yet swift movement, he now walks backwards, torso bent down so that his face is smiling right in her own. "A Princess such as yourself would have to be carried as such," he mocks but none the less answers that he would indeed at the very least carry her if he had to. At her second question, he pulls himself away from her, back in his original position save Aislin is walking on her own still. "I have been there many a time, yes. So I can show you where you can get food. The lost need to be lead, after all," he answers.
Aislin in the mean time scowls as she eventually tires herself out from her tantrum and settles for regaining her energy. She looks to Malek the best she can, "Why?" She pauses before looking over her shoulder to Onsei. She wants to see if he thinks it'd be a good idea, but honestly she can't see his facial expression. Not that it's any different than a relaxed look, at the moment. She sighs before admitting, "......I need his help," she might as well after all. It's not like letting everyone know will be a bad thing. If anything, it could help in some sort of sense. "As you may or may not know, the world- both this one and the real one- is doomed to end, killing us all. I....I can see the future. Kind of, only little visions at random times. They show people in need. Big or small. I've helped some of the people I've seen, and something good for not just me, but the whole world, seems to come out of it. Onsei here is the strongest demon I've ever seen. I made a deal with him that if he helped me, that if this new world is actually made, that one day we'll meet and I'll be his wife". A strong shiver goes down her back at that part. "Not only that, but he owes me," kinda.
Onsei eyes the girl before looking to Malek, "I obviously am not a benevolent being. She found me bound and soon to die. She unbound me, and in turn I am in her dept". But his pride won't let him work for her for free. So the deal was made. In reality, there's a different reason for the deal, but only he knows it. As they walk, they soon come to the edge of the forest, earning the sight of the town where our other two be. On the outskirts are small fields with livestock and like in them, people milling around here or there. But at the same time, the shopping area is still the most lively. "There's the town. Any type of food will do, yes?" He doesn't wait for an answer though, and continues on his way straight for town.
Sora had been planning to weave his way through the crowd even after handing over the money- let's call them silver pieces, because gold is cliche XD. However, as he ultimately slows his pace so that the archer girl can catch up with him, he looks to her with curious eyes. "You want to thank me? Then just say 'thank you'!" He gives a childish grin, his handsome face about to split with the grin's size. Still, he knows what she means, childish ways or no. "But if you really DO want to thank me.....Why don't we be friends? I don't have any friends in this place, this false reality.....So if we could be friends, that'd be great!" There's a pause, and then his stomach growls loudly. He blanches and glares at where the organ sits within his body, not that the glaring really does anything. He laughs sheepishly, a hand throwing to the back of his head to show his embarrassment, "Uhh.....How about we have some lunch too? I'm really hungry!" Even though he did eat recently.
Hana listens to the story as well as to Onsei mention food. When he talked about lunch, she nods. "Indeed they do. I'd hate to wander into a shit hole of a place for food." She looks to Ainslin as she tells her brief, summarized position. While Malek is being serious, she can't help but giggle. "Awww! You two are a match made in heaven." Gold eyes narrow ever so slightly, but not in any form of cruelty. No, she's just amused now much as Onsei was by her. "Do you really think you will remember one another in the next world? I mean..: all our memories could be wiped completely clean." She may be asking too much, and if she tries to change the subject, Hana doesn't hold enough interest to press further. Let's say they get to re edge of town unless you have better plans for their stroll there. "Alright, big bad demon. Where's a good place to eat?"
Malek watches as she and Onsei explain with an earnest curiosity unlike his own partner he was tricked into a contract with. He does feel pity that she should have to put up with that demon not only now, but in the next world. He mutters not all that quietly, "You seem like too decent a person for a moron like him." He looks away to avoid Hana's keen stare. He doesn't want to be burned again. Once they get to town, he frowns. He sure hopes Hana is paying because he lost his money to her too, not that it was much to begin with. He looks through te bustling town, not at all keen on places like these.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aelita scowls at Sora. "You paid way more than this thing was really even worth. I have to do more than tell you thank you." As he mentions being friends, the thought of it makes her smile. Of course she would like to be friends, though she would have settled for allies. "Alright then. Let's be friends." She doesn't bother to hold back a laugh as his stomach gives a loud growl. "Tell you what, as friends, I'll buy dinner." She doesn't knownhis his appetite, so she's sure to regret this later. But for now, she insists. She still has a good bit saved up. "Just pick a place that isnt a rip off like that merchant with his weapons." Shes familiar with the town somewhat, so she can pick a place if need be, but she figures let him have his way to keep their time pleasant for him.

Onsei likes this girl, this Hana. Sure, she's weak as all hell, but she's amusing. He would have much preferred if she had found him and put him in her debt than Aislin's useless self. "A promise is a promise, or so I'm told," he replies to her questioning. None the less, as they make it to the edge of town, his eyes look over before he turns and points to where a simple dango shop sits further in town. "There's a dango shop that is decent enough for a short stop," he supplies before walking on forth, long legs over taking Aislin's at the very least. Once at the dango shop, he requests a table and sits before ordering. He relaxes without a real care into his seat, arms slung over the back lazily, feet just as lazily atop the table despite such actions being rude. Should Hana and Malek continue to stay with himself and Aislin, he looks to Hana and demands, "How long do you intend to stalk us?"
Aislin is much more conversational, as compared to Onsei's constant mockery and rudeness. She shrugs before sighing, "I need him to reach my goals," she replies honestly to Malek, "Otherwise I wouldn't be near him, obviously". Though she falls silent until they make it to the dango place with little issue and little to talk about. She glares at Onsei, not that it has any impact on him, for the way he sits, and sits as one should at any sort of table, across from him. Should Malek and Hana still be with them, her attention returns to the demon. "So, if I may ask, where are you from? I'm from a world like this place; feudal and filled with demons and humans. From what I understand, Onsei here is from an old video game".
After the food and drinks have made it to them, Onsei hears a voice that's much too familiar to him. A broad smirk plasters itself on his lips, vibrant purple-red eyes coasting their way to where the voice had come from. He internally chuckles. The young man is as childish as he had been last time the two met. "As much of a black hole as always, I see, sword-boy".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sora finds himself beyond happy that Aelita agrees to not only be his first friend, but also buy him a meal. "Really? Man, you're the best-...Uh....Before this friendship goes any further, I guess I should introduce myself, huh? Better than being called 'hey you!'all the time, right?" He laughs at his own minor joke, "I'm Sora, Sora Tatsuya. Thanks for getting me some food," he laughs out before gesturing in a random direction. "There's this sweet dango shop I've heard about all day. If you know where it is, could we go there?" Assuming Aelita knows where he's talking about, he follows her lead and beams upon smelling the fresh food. And when given the chance, he begins to stuff his face. Like any good goofy person, he's got a big appetite. "Man, this place IS great!" Too bad it's not all you can eat. The voice that carries over a short distance and to his human ears makes his grin fall off his lips and for his appetite to shrink a bit. He puts his current stick of dango down to glare over his shoulder, green eyes easily finding the asshole- er, owner- of the voice. "Oh? Didn't know you were around, Onsei. Still bullying poor Aislin I see".
Onsei chuckles, "I'm merely giving her the respect she deserves, sword-boy".
"My name is Sora. And that's bull, giving her the respect she deserves, and you know it. She deserves way better".
"If you think you can do better, by all means try to take her from me," Onsei smiles out, making Sora's broad shoulders tense.
However, Sora doesn't take the bait, "What are you doing here?" His eyes fall upon the two extra- assuming they're there- with them. "Who are they? You've never liked traveling in groups".
Hana tilts her head. "Hopefully fate will allow you to keep that promise." She sees the Dango shop ahead, and she smirks. Ah... Her favorite food, not that shell admit it. She looks to her own slave after she orders a heaping order of Dango from himself. "Are you gonna eat?"
Malek frowns. "Still seems like a lousy situation," he says. He looks after Hana, Onsei, and Ainslin all eat to the first, a scowl on her face. His stomach growls a "yes" despite his wallet.
"You're hungry, at least," Hana observes.
"Yea well, I don't want Dango."
"Don't be w spoiled brat." Hana looks to the shop waitress. "Get an order for him, please."
Malek glares at Hana. "I hope you're paying for that."
Hana looks to Malek, her mouth by then stuffed with some dango. She looks a moment before hastily swallowing her food. To him, she says, "No worries, my young Oni-"
"Oi!! You're the baby around here, elementalist!" 50 years is, after all, nothing in the lives of demons with their long lives.
"Hush. I'll use the money I was going to give you anyways to cover your lunch. You're Welcome." She munched while Malek stews in his own grumblings and Dango. She answers their questions. "I'm from my own world as well, it being a place where everything but humans are prevelant. Demons, faeries, dragons, elves, dwarves, etc. Malek here..."
"Shut up!!" Malek shouts, clearly on edge.
"He's from what the humans would call an anime. More specifically an anime based on an otome game." She laughs as Malek looks down, his face bright red.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aelita nods. "Names would be nice." She holds out a hand to shake hands with him. "Nice to meet you, Sora. I'm Aelita Scheafer." She tilts her head. "Dango shop? Oh!" She looks to her right. "That would be this way. I've been wanting to try it out myself." She walks with him, maintaining small talk all the way. Once there, she picks a spot and starts with one order for herself. However, her face goes a bit pale as he decides her offer would let him eat this place out of business. "Wow you can eat!" She observes. Seriously. Why is he eating so much? Is this supposed to be him shitting her or something? She keeps this thoughts securely locked into her mind. She does owe him for her bow. She looks to Onsei once he appears. "A friend of yours?" She asks Sora, her glance remaining cold and calculated as she observes him as well as the other four.
Hana smirks at the boy. "Sora was it? Interesting name. If you must know, I'm Hana, and this is my own bitch, Malek." She pats the Oni's back. "Mister Onsei and Miss Ainslin were being entertaining, so we stuck with them all the way here. I'm sure that must shocking." She looks to Aelita next. She's not a good friend-maker it looks like. She looks very cold for a human. She must be one of those serious types. How boring.
