“My sister.” His tone, while calm and casual, had an underlying hint of annoyance behind it. “She took off from the inn chasing after some brute.” Cool, blue eyes scan the street that’s now nearly empty as the rain has picked back up again, and he pushes his wet hair back from his face. “I lost her around here.” He shrugs and rolls his eyes. “No matter, though. She’ll come back. She always does.” Though his words were true, here lately every time she ran off he felt she was getting closer and closer to never returning to him again. After a moment of silence, he turns his attention to the girl. “What about you? Why are you looking for Jeod so hard? Long, lost lover, perhaps?” A playful smile crosses his face as he says the words. “He must have been a good one if you’re willing to run out through a storm to find him.” He reaches into his pocket and begins fiddling with something in his pocket. Brona stops when she hears the door close, and her smirk turns playful. She doesn’t move as he walks up behind her, but she closes her eyes. In the brief moment she’d been in there, she had done memorized the layout of the room. Door ahead of her leading to what she could only assume at this moment was the kitchen, a broken window to her left that – if needed – she could escape through, and some debris that had fallen from the ceiling above to her right. If she needed to, she could escape, but she would wait and see how it played out. His voice was deep. She liked that. Her smirk gives way to an amused smile at his words, and she tries to stifle a small giggle. As his hand brushes her back, a small chill shoots through her spine. She turns on her heels, pulling her hair from his hand as she faces him directly. Wide, blue eyes stare up into his a moment. He is rather handsome up close. She takes a small step closer, closing the distance between her and the man, and lifts herself onto her toes. She places her lips as close to his ear as she can, and whispers. “You’re going to take me to Leykias.”

A soft chuckle arose from his chest. Archeron places his hands on her hips only to tug her closer to him, so close that not even a thin piece of paper could go through. "And why would I do that?" He whispers back, his lips lightly glazing her ear. If he was to take her to Leykias with him, what would he gain? Archeron never has done escort missions from Kingdom city to Kingdom city. He didn't care if the person was a mage like him or not. He will not escort anyone. This young lady would have to convince him to take her along. "Give me several good reason why I should take you along with me to Leykias." He used his deep seductive tone in a whisper. Through her clothes, he gently rubbed his thumbs on her hips.

Aelita tilts her head ever so slightly, the clumps of wet hair ever so slightly swaying as she does. "Your sister huh..." She mutters. Suddenly, the image of the funny electric man came to her mind, for she recalled there being a girl. "I think I might have passed her, actually," she mutters. "She was staring at a strange man and all." She shrugs. It could have been anyone really. Her own mouth twitches into a wry smile as he asks about Jeod. She opens her as up again. It's smeared beyond recognition at this point. "Not quite a lover," she corrects, exposing the blotchy paper for him to see. "This was an ad by the man asking for help with some beast that's destroying the lands and eating his livestock. It sounds like it would be a handful for all but the most skilled hunters, Warriors, and mages. If it is, surely he will reward me handsomely for ridding him of this beast. Then, I can leave this forsaken shit hole of a place." She smirks as her gaze turns to him, meeting his gaze. "It would be worth the rain if this is as big as I'm picturing! I might even be able to afford a horse so I can ride!" Oh how travel would be much easier then. It'd be much faster at least.

His brows lifted slightly as the girl mentions seeing his sister. “Aye, that was her.” He mumbles, still fidgeting with the lint that’s in his pocket. He listens quietly as she talks about the ad, and this takes him back to his original plan to ask her to travel with them. “The man in the tavern said this fella lives to the south, aye? My sister and I are on our way to Leykias. If you want, we could try to help get you there?” He raises a brow and tilts his head to the side slightly. “Surely, with the trouble you had interrogating people in the tavern, you could use at least a wee bit of help.” His playful smile returns as he says the words. “Hell, I would even let you ride my horse.” He stops as soon as he says the words, realizing how that may have sounded, and he quickly lifts his hands in front of him. “I apologize. I mean, I… uh… the actual horse! Not, you know.. uh..” He trails off, scratching his head with slight embarrassment. Moron. Brona closes her eyes as his thumbs rub against her hips. Worth his while? She opens her eyes and looks up at him, pushing herself closer against him. “Well, reason number one…” She trails off and slides a hand down his side, running her finger just inside of the waist of his pants. “I’m a pretty amiable companion.” She uses her finger to slide the top of his pants down just a hair. “Second,” She places her face just inches away from his and hesitates a moment before suddenly using her magic to change her entire body to water and collapsing into a puddle at his feet. The puddle quickly rushes up his leg, over his chest, and wraps around his neck before shifting back into Brona. She now sits on top of his shoulders, her right leg wrapped loosely around his neck, and her left wrapped around his left side. “I can do that. That’s always pretty cool.” She jokes, this time her tone is louder, and echoes through the abandoned house like wind chimes.

So he was right. She was the mage of water. "Those are two good tempting reasons." He chuckled. So he took a minute to think about it. Seeing how she's the mage of water... That could be useful at times. Then that's when Archeron smirked. Water... Electric... Danger Duo.... "I would take you along.. But it depends. Do you have anyone else that would be going along?" He was never too careful about who traveled with him. Yes, he did have a few who traveled with him. Usually the person only stayed until the next town or two before heading off in their own direction. But before one can travel with him, questions are asked and answered. Archeron demands to know who that person is. Sometimes the person was an normal human being, other times it was a mage. "If so, I need to meet them before officially deciding if I'll take you with me."

His offer to travel with her surprises her, though she conceals it with simple smile as she gazed out on the road now. "Laykias, eh? I've never seen the country there, but it sounds fun from all the stories ya here from traveling merchants and other mages." In her mind she adds, maybe she can even build up her name better there than she can here. Being a little girl, they all seem to take her way too lightly here. It's a shame really. She opens her mouth to speak, but then his offer regarding horses also catches her off guard, though for a bit of a different reason. She watches him get seemingly flustered as he corrects himself. A moment passes as she stares impassively at him, all emotion blank from her face. Finally, a smile spreads on her face again. "I suppose it will have to work until we can get to the farm. I think I will gladly join the two of you at least for the day or so it will take to get to there." She can hear the rain lightening up around them, and she looks to see the late afternoon sun shine a few rays past the dark clouds. "I think we can start looking for your sister soon," she tells him.

"Mm" Brona nods even though she knows the man can't see her, and runs a finger through his hair. "My brother would be joining us as well." From her waist down shifts to water, and she slides herself down from his shoulders, shifting back and standing in front of him once more. "He was behind me, but I lost him. He's never been good at keeping up with me.” A small, playful smirk forms as she talks, and she runs her finger down his chest. “We have a room at the inn. He probably went back there to wait." Her gaze shifts from the man's face to his chest. He was a great deal bigger than she was, but she wasn't concerned. "If you wish we could head back to the inn to speak with him?" She looks back up at the man through her long lashes, tilting her head slightly. "If he's not there, he will end up there eventually." A small smile forms across her face as she gently pushes against his chest with her finger.
A sigh of relief escapes as she agrees to his offer rather than freaking out. He just knew the horse thing was going to make her think he was a pervert, but he was glad that she smiled instead. Maybe she does still think I'm a pervert. She's just being nice. Damn it. “Great.” A warm smile spreads across his face as he holds out his hand. “My name is Lucian, by the way. Glad to be of service to such a pretty young girl.” He bows his head slightly, but then once again realizes what he has said. “Er. I mean… Not….” He sighs and shakes his head. “Fuck it.” He turns his attention to the rain and nods at what she's said. “Aye, I need to go get our stuff from the inn, though. All of our travel gear is in there, and her running off has thrown off my plans. I was hoping to leave a few hours ago if possible.” He grumbles and turns to the girl, taking his coat off. “Would you like yo use this to cover your head? It's soaked, but it might help some.”

Archeron smirked at the mention of a room. "Are you inviting me back to your room?" He teased. "Because I know there's quite a few things we could do in a room.... All... By... Ourselves." Flirting with her like there was no tomorrow is starting to become an enjoyment for him. Then it came to him. Archeron didn't know her name nor anything about her except the fact that she is a tease and flirt... Like him. Oh boy.. Taking her with him smells like trouble to him. But then again, he likes trouble. Trouble can be quite entertaining for him. Especially this kind of trouble. Flirting with a gorgeous female mage such as this pretty lady. "Oh. I'm sorry. Where are my manners?" He knelt down to one knee, taking her hand while glancing up at her. "The name is Archeron... Archeron Silverheart at your service." Closing his eyes slightly, he placed a feather kiss on the top of her hand before glancing back up to her eyes. His electric blue orbs went from a light blue to a bit darker shade of blue, giving a hint of something.

Aelita gives a sweet giggle as he so formally introduced himself. Well... It's formal to her until he swears. "And you may call me Aelita." She gives a swift curtsy, tugging on the hem of bed long shirt as she played along. The smile on her face all the while softens, though it never fades from sight as she listens to him. She doesn't truly care to return to the inn, but hopefully it'll be the last time she sees these foul faces for a long while. "Very well." She tells him. Green eyes run over his jacket as its pulled off to be offered to him. "Are you sure, Lucian?" She asks. She takes the jacket with a warm smile, saying softly, "Well, thank you." She spins the jacket around and holds the top of it over her head. "Let's go then," she says before finally stepping out into the rain once more to march back to the inn.

He is rather forward. Brona giggles quietly at the thought, and her smile widens. “Perhaps it was rather forward of myself.” She jokes, but before she can turn to walk away the man has taken her hand in his and knelt down. “At my service, aye?” Her smile returns once more to a smirk as he looks up at her, and she gives a slight curtsy. “In that case we must be getting back to the room.” She shoots him a quick wink. “My name is Brona. Brona Sheelin.” She pulls gently at his hand as she starts to walk away. “This way.” She quickly slips out of the door, not looking back, and begins making her way to the inn.
“Aye, I'm sure.” Lucian watches as she lifts the jacket over herself, but doesn't move first. He waits quietly until she starts, and he follows behind without a word until they get closer. “What do you plan to do after this job?” He asked more to make conversation even though he's always hated small talk. Once at the tavern, he quickly slides inside, holding the door for her before making his way upstairs.

Smirking, Archeron follows her out of the abandoned house and into the rain. Why am I taking a risk on trusting her? He thought to himself. He internally frowns at this. What is it about her that makes him want to trust her? That was when he decided to continue to keep his guard up. Anything could happen. But then that's when Archeron sensed someone was watching them causing him to stop in his tracks all of a sudden. His electric blue orbs shifted around looking. That's when he notices something out of the normal. A long oddly shaped shadow was gliding along the ground from behind. Unlike the shadows from the clouds in the sky, this smelled like magic. Out of all of his years of traveling, Archeron only knew of one mage who had the powers of shadows. Nice try Shadow... Not going to work. Sliding his sword out, his electric automatically wraps around the blade. Spinning around, swords clashed. Sword of electric and sword of shadow. Electricity sparked around the sparks of shadow. Two incompatible elements colliding together forcing them to bound off each other. The air around them started to pick up creating dust. Blue and green eyes locked in a stare down. Not one of them letting up. Their strengths was evenly matched.

It pleases Aelita to have someone treat her with an ounce of kindness for once. She walks swiftly through the rain, not that she won’t already going to catch a cold as she was already soaked. Still, she retraces her steps alongside her new companion. “Who knows?” She answers with a grin. “Well, I can say for certain I won’t stay here. The people here are far too cold.” As they enter the inn once more, she nods briefly to Lucian as she passes the door way. “Hey, miss! Did ya find ‘em?” The bartender shouts, and it rouses laughter of the others. She pays him no heed, but she does use her wind to dry herself once more. Much like the first time, she claps her hands, and uses magic to grow the wind until it’s a powerful gust. It dries her, the coat, and Lucian. The droplets rain disperse and rain down upon the others. Ignoring their grumbles of protest, she follows Lucian up to his room. “I was hoping not to even come back here, but I suppose that soaking them was fun,” she muses to no one in particular.

Lucian chuckles as the water is thrown about the others, though he was surprised by the wind. “You can control the wind.” He says this more as a statement, though it sounded more like a question. It didn’t really surprise him though, given that his sister could control water. “That’s cool.” He adds, opening the door to their room at the inn. His brow furrows as he realizes that his sister isn’t back, yet. “Of course she’s still gone.” He mumbles, pushing the door open some more so that Aelita could enter. “Anywhere other than here, huh?” He finally asks, walking from the door to the bed. He reaches down by the headboard and pulls up an old leather sack, and flops it on the bed. “I reckon anywhere is probably better than here.” He says, glancing to the dead rat in the corner of the room as he reaches into bag. “Do you mind if I change shirts?” He asks, lifting a clean shirt from the bag and glancing over his shoulder at her. He once again feels as though he’s being a creep, and his face turns pink. “Not… you know…” He mumbles something under his breath and closes his eyes, shaking his head. Idiot. He straightens up and decides he doesn’t care what it is that she thinks, and goes ahead and strips off his coat and shirt, tossing them onto the bed. Brona walks ahead of Archeron, keeping a much quicker pace than he seems to be. It’s when she’s almost at the tavern that she realizes she no longer hears him behind her. She stops and turns around, catching a glimpse of him and some other stranger. Fighting? “Tch.” She rolls her eyes. Jealous ex, I bet. She giggles quietly before continuing on her way. I can’t try to seduce a man into doing my bidding that has already given his heart to someone else. I have to find someone else. She sighs at the thought. She already hated trying to socialize, let alone trying to make anyone like her. Though, Archeron seemed to be easy enough – almost too easy. She stops outside of the tavern, looking up into the window she knew was for their room. She can see her brother standing by the window, and she smiles, but the smile quickly turns to a scowl as she sees her brother beginning to strip. But this isn’t the reason she’s scowling. She’s scowling because she can see a redhead in room as well. The water around her begins to rise slightly as she stews in her frustration, and then quickly falls back to the ground as she storms herself into the tavern – flinging more water at the others that had already had water thrown upon them. She ignores the groans and shouts, and carries herself upstairs to their room, and flings the door open, causing it to slam against the wall.

Still bemused by the agitation she caused the pub jerks, she laughs as she says, "Yes, I control the wind." She gives a quick nod of thanks before shuffling inside. The room itself is as awful as the pub down stairs. And these poor dears would have slept here. Then again, at least it beats sleeping outside. Especially in this rain storm. She nods. "The entire city is trash, and the people are as arrogant and backwards as I've ever seen. They're ungrateful." She cuts herself off, fearing she may turn this into a raging rant, and she wouldn't want to scare the kind gentleman she just befriended. His struggle over what to say brought s little smile back to her lips. She snickers and says, "I don't care. Do what you must." Meanwhile, she takes to glancing out the window, peering as far down the street as she could. Just as her mind began to wander, WHAM! She whirls with a hand flinching towards a dagger. She stops short of grabbing it however when she sees a girl stroll in. Could this be... "I think I found your sister," she cries with a laugh before waving to the lass. "I do hope that is the case," she adds as an afterthought. Why else would a young girl barge in so abruptly? "Good evening," she says, deciding to be courteous and introduce herself. "M'name's Aelita."
